Faisalabad, Punjab – Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif officially launched the distribution of Core i7 (13th Generation) laptops today, starting from Faisalabad Division, in a major step to empower and support talented students across the province. Thousands of Students to Benefit from the Laptop Scheme
The historic Government College University Faisalabad was the venue for the first distribution ceremony. In total, 5,928 laptops are being distributed among bright students in Faisalabad Division, including:
- 4,224 students from government universities
- 1,385 students from government colleges
- 319 students from medical colleges
The laptops are equipped with the latest Core i7 13th generation processors, ensuring students can access high-performance tools for research, assignments, and digital projects.
Honahar Scholarship Program – Phase II Launched
In addition to laptops, Phase-II of the Honahar Scholarship Program was officially launched. This scholarship initiative aims to support 4,075 students from government colleges, universities, and medical institutions, with a total funding of over Rs 100 million.
Scholarship Distribution Details:
- College Students: 1,531 students will receive Rs 2.9 million
- Medical College Students: 82 students to get Rs 0.4 million
- University Students: 2,462 students to receive Rs 6.7 million
These scholarships cover students from 2nd year to 5th year, and 3rd to 8th semesters, providing financial relief and encouraging continued academic excellence.
